Italy confirms its participation at the International Hospitality Forum 2006

Amman, June 19, 2006. For the first time the Italian association Federlegno - Arredo, federation of wood, cork, furniture and furnishing manufacturers counting 2,300 associated companies, has joined the International Hospitality Forum to promote its contract furniture industry and take advantage of the ample business opportunities available in the Jordanian market.

Several new products will be launched at the show including an Italian line of vending coffee machines, interactive TVs and sophisticated electronic security products, a new range of ice cream and other food & beverage products, kitchen equipment, uniforms and may others. For the comfort of hotel guests, the main sponsor of IHF, Therapedic/Arab Foam Factories, will showcase a range of sleeping products, mattresses and linen.

“Due to the remarkable investment in tourism, hospitality and leisure projects that are underway in Jordan, many former international exhibitors have expanded their exhibition space and many more have joined the show for the first time”, said Joumana Dammous Salame, managing director of Hospitality Services, organizers of the event. The international trade show element of this business-to-business event encompasses every possible aspect of the industry, from food and beverage, food processing machinery; hotel, refrigeration and food service equipment; baking products and equipment, packaging, to hotel supplies, uniforms, gym and spa equipment, education, maintenance and hygiene and hospitality information systems.

In addition, the Forum will witness 13 cooking, pastry and carving competitions which will bring together over 100 Jordanian chefs to demonstrate their skills in this ever popular feature. Several other features are lined up for this growing industry event including a barista competition for Illy coffee, a bartenders’ competition a table setting contest, a major conference and several award ceremonies.
