Dutch Pavilion at IHF 2009 to
Flourish Trade Relations between the Netherlands and
Jordan
Amman, 24 September 2009. The
International Hospitality Forum, scheduled to kick off
on the 27th of October, will include a Dutch Pavilion
grouping leading Dutch brands in the food and beverage
sector to further promote trade between the Netherlands
and Jordan. IHF 2009, Jordan's premier 3-day event for
the hospitality and foodservice sectors, will be held at
Amman Exhibitions Park and is expected to be visited by
over 3000 professional visitors from Jordan and the
region.
Through the relentless efforts of the Commercial Section
at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Dutch
manufacturers and distributors will come together at a
national pavilion to showcase an exclusive range of high
quality products that the Netherlands is exporting to
the world. Various products on display include cheese,
chocolates, potato & cheese crisps, coffee, milk and
dairy products among others.
"We are delighted to be taking part in this event for
the 3rd year”, said Heleen Saaf-van der Beek, Deputy
Head of Mission, at the Netherlands Embassy. “We see a
lot of opportunities for Dutch companies in the
Jordanian market particularly in foodservices,
hospitality sectors and infrastructure. The total trade
volume between the Netherlands & Jordan is around 150
million Euros” added Van der Beek.
“Frico cheese, produced by Royal Friesland Campina of
the Netherlands, has been taking part in IHF and
sponsoring the canapé competition for many years. As
distributors of their fine products in Jordan, we see
IHF as a very important industry event that helps us to
strengthen our links with the market, launch new
products and increase our market share” said Ali Noor of
Kaylani Food Centre, one of the exhibitors at the Dutch
Pavilion. Frico, with their milk products, cheese,
butter and other ingredients, reaches millions of people
in more than one hundred countries around the world.
Apart from the canapé competition, the International
Hospitality Forum provides over 150 chefs in Jordan with
a platform to challenge themselves and develop their
culinary skills in 15 other categories. IHF 2009 is
jointly organised by Events UnLimited of Jordan and
Hospitality Services of Lebanon.
