showcase of the needs of the bride &
groom-to-be. Set in a magical and sophisticated
atmosphere, the show featured a wide range of
products & services; elegant fashion and
jewellery shows; a wedding cake competition; a
table setting contest; floral arrangements and
many more.
Products and services on display included bridal
wear & accessories, jewellery & watches, cakes &
chocolates, furniture & sleep products, home
interiors, travel agents promoting various
honeymoon destinations, hotels, wedding gifts,
banking & insurance services, flowers, light &
sound systems, music and entertainment, and many
others. “The long-awaited Wedding Show of 2006
will become the main lifestyle show in Jordan
featuring products for the entire family. Over
50 exhibitors took part in the Wedding Show 2006
making it the largest ever wedding expo to be
held in Jordan”, said Samar Shawareb Ashqar,
Managing Director of Events Unlimited the
Organisers of the Show.
Visitors of the Wedding Show were very impressed
with the professional organisation of the Show,
the quality and range of products on display,
the amazing table settings and the fabulous
fashion & jewellery shows.
“The programme of the Wedding Show included
3fashion shows by upscale fashion outlets in
Amman (namely Al Nafees, Morilee & Bouquet) and
daily Jewellery shows by Damas. The amazing
collection also included dresses for the brides’
maids, mother of the bride and flower girls. To
complement the wedding theme, a local Zaffeh
group performed sketches at the catwalk of the
Show”, said Tamara Hreish, event co-ordinator.
The fashion and jewellery shows were co-ordinated
by Ms. Lana Bisharat, a Jordanian expert in this
field. The most technologically advanced sound
and light systems, provided by Events AVP, were
employed to produce the fashion shows. To add
glamour to the Wedding Show, Alissar produced
magnificent floral arrangements that adorned the
entire public areas of the exhibition and the
catwalk.
Seven Jordanian chefs from 5-star hotels in
Jordan competed for the best Wedding Cake for
the coming season. The first prize winner of the
wedding cake went to Chef Rami Farouq of the
Amman Marriott hotel. Hotels and wedding
planners also competed during the Show to create
the most innovative and attractive table setting
which went to the graceful turquoise & white
table of Grand Hyatt Amman.
